Brandon Sturgis
Brandon has been involved in sports and fitness all his life. While attending South Lake High School, he received honorable mentions in Varsity baseball and soccer during his Junior and Senior years. Upon graduation he attended Michigan Technological University in Houghton, MI, where he played soccer as a forward and midfielder. During his second year, Brandon was elected captain of the team.
Among the numerous accomplishments in Brandon’s athletic career, he is most recently proud of his title as the Xtreme Cagefighting Championship (XCC) Bantamweight (135 lbs) Champion. He began his training in the Brazilian art of Jiu Jitsu and in the Thai kickboxing art of Muay Thai in 2008. During his reign as champion, he has defended his title four times and has held it for nearly a year. Brandon aspires to turn pro in the Summer of 2010.
Aside from his athletic accomplishments, Brandon has received certification as a personal trainer through the National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM). He is also CPR/AED certified and is continuing his education in the field of physical fitness.
